1: or at least one of me

2: sometimes I try harder than other times

3: I'm not sure what I think about the idea of being anything at all, actually. Do we have a nature separate from our actions? I'm not convinced. And yet I do think of "being" good in those ontological terms.

4: "good" varies wildly from moment to moment.

Actually I was thinking of "to be" as a single grammatical entity. Maybe I should have put it in parentheses.
